This spice is an original spice from Indonesia. Indonesian people often call it "Kemiri" or "Candlenut".
Candlenuts grow widely in Indonesia, from western Indonesia to eastern Indonesia. Supported by Indonesia's geographic location, candlenut growth increase rapidly. Candlenut harvest season was during October to January.
Our candlenut has been processed step by step manually by farmers in Indonesia. Such as the drying process which still relies on sunlight, separating the shells and seeds which is still manual. This makes the price of candlenuts expensive. Farmers can produce 10 metric tons in one harvest.
When we visited a candlenut farmer. The farmers we met gave us some information such as :
1. Good candlenut's seeds are candlenuts that are l white cleaned with a little white powder still attached to the seeds.
2. A good seed's shape is one with a round or slightly conical top.
3. Has a distinctive smell.
4. And stored it in the refrigerator can maintain the quality of the candlenuts.

Golden Spice Asia. The shells are sent to 2 countries, Dubai and Hongkong. The shells will be used as ingredient for biomass, automotive matterials and briquettes.
It started with a trip by Mrs. Rani (Founder Golden Spice Asia) and Mrs. Merrie to the eastern province of Indonesia to see the project their company was working on. They met many candlenut farmers. Candlenut farmers only process the candlenut seeds and throw shells. After arriving in Surabaya. They consulted with Mr. Arso Export Center Surabaya regarding shell waste.
Lab results candlenut shells have higher active carbon than charcoral or palm kernel shells so it lasts longer. CV. Golden Spice Asia also sent several samples to Indonesian Trade Office (ITPC) abroad. It is hoped that potential buyers can easily find samples of our products without having to go to Indonesia.

The black pepper has peeled skin so that it doesn't have a bitter taste or strong spicy taste. The drying process usually takes 3-7 days depending on the heat of the sunlight.
